AJK Election Commission Delegates Nomination Process for Poonch Constituencies

Muzaffarabad : The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has partially authorized the Deputy Election Commissioner Rawalpindi to receive and scrutinize nomination papers for all five electoral constituencies of District Poonch, Rawalakot. Meanwhile, the Returning Officers already appointed for these constituencies will continue to perform their election-related duties as usual.

According to the Election Commission, this decision has been taken in view of the prevailing circumstances to ensure the timely, transparent, and smooth conduct of the electoral process. The measure is intended to facilitate candidates in submitting nomination papers and participating in the election process without inconvenience.

Individuals intending to contest elections from District Poonch are informed that for the issuance, submission, and scrutiny of nomination papers, as well as other related matters, they should contact the Deputy Election Commissioner Rawalpindi at Poonch House, Saddar, Rawalpindi.
