Acting President AJK chairs Syndicate Meeting, stresses Quality Education and Research
Islamabad: The 60th Syndicate meeting of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, was held at the President Kashmir House, Islamabad, under the chairmanship of the Acting President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor of AJK Universities, Chaudhry Latif Akbar.
The meeting was attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Professor Dr. Nasir Jamal Khattak, Secretary Higher Education Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, and other syndicate members.
During the session, the Vice Chancellor provided a detailed briefing to the Acting President and other members regarding the overall performance of the university, academic and research activities, ongoing development projects, and future priorities.
Addressing the meeting, Chaudhry Latif Akbar stated that universities play a pivotal role in national development, research advancement, and the promotion of modern education. He directed the Vice Chancellor to continue efforts to further improve academic standards, promote research activities, provide modern facilities, ensure a better learning environment for students, and align the university with international standards.
At the conclusion of the meeting, satisfaction was expressed over the overall performance of the university. It was also reiterated that all necessary steps would be taken to further strengthen the institution in the fields of higher education and research.
The Acting President also assured full support for resolving the issues faced by the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad.
