Muzaffarabad lights up in celebration of historic Three-Nation defence pact

Muzaffarabad :A festive atmosphere has gripped the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, following the historic joint defence agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in Makkah.

Major government buildings, roads and key intersections across the city have been beautifully decorated with the national flags of the three brotherly countries and colourful electric lights, giving Muzaffarabad a vibrant and celebratory look.

The administration has also installed special digital screens at various prominent locations across the city. Messages highlighting peace, security and mutual cooperation are being displayed prominently alongside images of the leadership of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

Banners and flexes have also been displayed at different locations to highlight the strong fraternal ties between the three countries and their shared commitment to defence and security.

Political and social circles have described the agreement as a significant milestone for promoting peace and stability in the region. They said enhanced defence cooperation among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye would not only strengthen unity among Muslim countries but could also make a positive contribution to global peace and security.

The people of Kashmir have also welcomed the development, expressing hope that the alliance would enhance the dignity and standing of the Muslim Ummah and help create a more favourable international environment for meaningful progress towards the resolution of the Kashmir issue.
