Former Secretary Khawaja Muhammad Ahsan joins AJK Election Commission as Senior Member
Muzaffarabad,(Parliament Times) : Former Government Secretary Khawaja Muhammad Ahsan has taken oath as the Senior Member of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission.
The oath-taking ceremony was held on Wednesday at the New Civil Secretariat. Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Justice (Retd.) Ghulam Mustafa Mughal, administered the oath to Khawaja Muhammad Ahsan.
The ceremony was attended by Election Commission Member Syed Nazir-ul-Hassan Gilani, Secretary Election Commission Raja Muhammad Shakeel Khan, former Election Commission Member Farhat Ali Mir, Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Irshad Ahmed Qureshi, Chairman District Council Imtiaz Ahmed Abbasi, Vice Chairman Bar Council Haroon Riaz Mughal, as well as lawyers and other concerned officials.
Draftsman of the Department of Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights, Raja Zahid Mahmood, read out the notification regarding the appointment of the Senior Member of the Election Commission. The proceedings of the ceremony were conducted by Secretary Election Commission Raja Muhammad Shakeel Khan.
At the conclusion of the event, Secretary Election Commission Raja Muhammad Shakeel Khan led a prayer.
