Another civilian killed in police custody in IIOJK

Jammu: A 27-year-old civilian was killed in police custody in Ramban district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The deceased, identified as Muhammad Abid, was arrested by the police and subjected to severe torture while in custody. His condition worsened, and he was transferred to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Just a week earlier, another civilian, Mukhan Din, was arrested by the police in Kathua and tortured to death during detention. These incidents of extrajudicial killings have sparked growing concern over the inhumane treatment of detainees in the disputed territory. Disturbingly, such deaths are often later dismissed as suicides or natural causes by the authorities.
