Earthquake victims remembered at KPC prayer ceremony in Mirpur AJK.

MIRPUR: The memories of the victims of the devastating October 8, 2005 earthquake remain deeply etched in the hearts of the people, with the grief of losing loved ones still impossible to erase, speakers said at a prayer ceremony held here on Thursday.
The ceremony was hosted  at the Kashmir Press Club Mirpur to offer fateha for the departed souls of those who lost their lives in the October 8, 2005 earthquake.
The speakers said that the approach of October 8 every year revives the painful memories of the devastating earthquake and the loss of thousands of precious lives.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the martyrs of the October 8, 2005 earthquake and grant patience to the bereaved families.
Vice President  Rana Shabir Rajourvi, ex Presidents Arshad Butt and Sajjad Jaraal, Raja Khalil Yousaf, senior journalists Zahid Bashir Chaudhry, Raja Javed Afzal, Chaudhry Zahoor-ul-Rasheed, Shiraz Bukhari, Raja Shafaqat Ali and Khawaja Shahid Iqbal were also present.

The participants offered Fateha for the departed souls and made special prayers for the elevation of the ranks of those who lost their lives in the catastrophic earthquake.
