MUZAFFARABAD:Employees of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore after the AJK Legislative Assembly passed an Act providing for the regularization of ad hoc and temporary employees.

As Prime Minister Rathore exited the Assembly session, hundreds of temporary and ad hoc employees accorded him a warm welcome, garlanding him and showering flower petals in celebration. The Assembly Secretariat echoed with slogans in support of the Prime Minister. Senior cabinet members, including Mian Abdul Waheed, Javed Ayub, Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, Javed Budhanvi, government spokesperson Shaukat Javed Mir, and others, were also present on the occasion.

Representatives of the Secretariat Employees Association and various employee organizations thanked the Prime Minister for fulfilling a long-standing demand by granting permanent status to temporary employees. They stated that Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore had honored a commitment that employees had awaited for years. They further remarked that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has never deprived people of their livelihoods and has consistently worked to create employment opportunities. They praised the Prime Minister for following in the footsteps of his late father and adopting employee-friendly policies, adding that both he and his cabinet deserved congratulations for this achievement.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore thanked Almighty Allah for enabling the government to fulfill its promise to employees on the anniversary of the late Mumtaz Rathore. He noted that the employees being regularized were not recruited by his administration, yet the government had granted them permanent status without discrimination.

He emphasized that it makes no difference whether someone votes for the party or not, adding that the Pakistan Peoples Party’s guiding slogan remains “Roti, Kapra aur Makaan” (Bread, Clothing and Shelter), and that it is impossible for the PPP to deprive anyone of their livelihood. He concluded by saying that the public-oriented and employee-friendly legacy of the late Mumtaz Hussain Rathore remains alive even after 36 years.
