Deputy PM Dar opens New Doors for Pakistani Students With Hungary Scholarships
ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held high-level meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó in Brussels in a new chapter in Pakistan-Hungary relations.
The meeting coincided with fourth EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, where both leaders explored unprecedented opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
During the extensive discussions, the foreign ministers reviewed full spectrum of Pakistan-Hungary relations, covering political, economic, trade, cultural, defense, and people-to-people exchanges. The leaders also engaged in a thorough exchange on regional and global issues, emphasizing the critical importance of sustained collaboration at international forums.
The highlight of meeting was signing of renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the prestigious Stipendium Hungaricum Program 2026–2028, a move that promises enhanced scholarship opportunities for Pakistani students in Hungary. This development is expected to open new avenues for academic and cultural exchange, strengthening the ties between the two nations at every level.
In addition, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to swiftly finalize other pending agreements, signaling a bold new phase of strategic and multifaceted cooperation between Pakistan and Hungary.
