Abbottabad: The Convenor of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, has stated that the movement for the right to self-determination will continue with full force until India’s nefarious actions are removed from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Ghulam Muhammad Safi, while addressing a Kashmir Solidarity seminar in Abbottabad, said that the international community has promised the Kashmiris the right to self-determination, and they should fulfill this promise of self determination to Kashmiris. He further stated that despite the presence of over one million Indian troops in IIOJK, India is attempting to mislead the world by singing the tune of normalcy.

The Convenor of APHC-AJK said that India is changing the demographic balance by settling millions of non-state residents in IIOJK while committing acts of murder and violence. Despite India’s oppression, brutality, and excessive use of force, the resolve of the people of IIOJK has not faltered.

The Hurriyat leader emphasized that India has illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and is attempting to turn the Muslim-majority region into a minority through illegal actions. He appealed to the United Nations to take notice of India’s aggression and the grave situation in IIOJK.

He also welcomed the speech of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Bhimber, AJK, and expressed gratitude for his efforts in informing the international community about the true situation in IIOJK and the atrocities being inflicted on the Kashmiri people.

Earlier, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, along with a delegation, met with Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Abbottabad, Abdul Rahman Abbasi, and his colleagues at the Al-Khidmat Foundation in Abbottabad. The delegation, which included Hurriyat leaders Raja Khadim Hussain, Dawood Khan Yousufzai, and Zahid Ashraf, briefed the Jamaat-e-Islami leadership on the latest situation in IIOJK.
