AJK govt plans initiatives to curb unemployment, empower youth: PM Gillani
Islamabad: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Iftikhar Gillani has said the government is preparing a special plan to empower youth, address unemployment and create new employment opportunities across the region.
Talking to a delegation of young people at the Prime Minister’s House in the StatemetropolisonThursda, , he said harnessing the potential of youth could help tackle unemployment and accelerate economic growth in the region.
He said the government would promote youth participation in modern sectors, particularly information technology (IT), expand skills development opportunities and help young people achieve economic self-reliance.
The prime minister stressed the need to provide a conducive environment for young people to launch their own businesses and become financially independent.
He said the government would actively encourage entrepreneurial activities to create more employment opportunities and strengthen the regional economy.
