10 more AJK residents placed on Fourth Schedule over alleged affiliation with banned outfit JKJAAC;

Muzaffarabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir  government,  has ordered the inclusion of 10 more residents of the region in the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2014, citing their alleged affiliation with the proscribed Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JK-JAAC), it was officially said.

According to an official notification issued by the AJK Home Department on Saturday, the decision was taken in light of a resolution passed during the 41st meeting of the AJK Cabinet held on June 5, 2026.

The notification said the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, exercising powers under Section 16(1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2014, approved the placement of the 10 individuals on the Fourth Schedule.

Those included in the list are Ijaz Ahmed Khan, Azra Alam, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, Muhammad Nabeel Tabassum, Zeeshan Ahmed, Raja Waseem Sabir, Raja Muhammad Mansoor Khan, Qaiser Kaleem, Hamza Naseer and Nabeela Irshad.

According to the document, two of the individuals belong to Bagh district, one to Muzaffarabad, two to Poonch and one to Sudhnoti, while no district details have been provided for the remaining four individuals.

Copies of the notification have been sent to the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan; National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA); National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA); Federal Investigation Agency (FIA); AJK Chief Secretary; police authorities; commissioners; deputy commissioners and other relevant departments.

The notification does not specify individual allegations or alleged activities against any of the 10 persons that led to their placement on the Fourth Schedule.

Placement on the Fourth Schedule subjects individuals to monitoring by law-enforcement agencies and may entail legal restrictions concerning movement, political and organisational activities, foreign travel and financial transactions, among other matters.
