Ch. Latif Akbar inaugurates Pakistan Army defense exhibition in Muzaffarabad on Victory Day
Muzaffarabad,: Acting President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Latif Akbar, along with the General Officer Commanding Chinar Division, here on Sunday, inaugurated an exhibition of defense equipment organized by the Pakistan Army as part of the Victory Day celebrations being held across the country to commemorate the historic success of Mark-e-Haq.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Secretary Khushal Khan, secretaries of the Azad Kashmir government, senior military officers, political and social figures, students and citizens hailing from different walks of life.
The exhibition featured modern defense equipment, weapons, communication systems, combat vehicles and other military hardware, which attracted keen interest from visitors, particularly the youth.
Citizens attending the exhibition, while praising the Pakistan army for its unmatched bravery, professionalism, discipline and fighting spirit, said that such events help promote patriotism and national awareness among the younger generation.
On this occasion, the Acting President Chaudhry Latif Akbar and the General Officer Commanding inspected various stalls set up at the exhibition.
Meanwhile, Acting President Chaudhry Latif Akbar along with the General Officer Commanding Chinar Division hoisted the flag and laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial at Chhatar Chowk Muzaffarabad .
A smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute at the Martyrs’ Memorial.
On this occasion, a special message of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was also read out following the flag hoisting ceremony.
Chief Secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir Khushal Khan, government secretaries, senior officials, representatives of the Girls Guide Association, Boys Scouts Association, Rescue 1122, police personnel and a large number of students attended the ceremony.
