Rallies, conferences held across Pakistan and AJK in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day

Islamabad: On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, various events and rallies are being organized in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

A ceremony was held at the Post Graduate College in Muzaffarabad in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, where All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter Secretary General, Advocate Pervez Ahmed Shah, and Hurriyat leader Zahid Ashraf also addressed the gathering. Additionally, Youth Model National Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized a Kashmir Solidarity Conference at Peshawar University where Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Sultan Butt and Imtiaz Wani, among others, addressed the audience. A similar event was also held in Quetta, where Hurriyat leader Zahid Safi delivered a speech.

The purpose of these events is to highlight the atrocities being committed against the innocent people of IIOJK and to awaken the global conscience. The speakers emphasized the struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination and Pakistan’s unwavering support for their cause. They also shed light on the historical, legal, and human rights aspects of the Kashmir issue, urging the youth to become ambassadors for this mission.

The speakers remarked that media is the power that prevents the truth from being buried, and it is our responsibility to expose the atrocities being committed against the Kashmiri people to the world. They said that Kashmir is not just a region, but the story of the struggle for freedom of millions of oppressed individuals, which cannot be suppressed.

They stated that international laws clearly affirm the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination, but unfortunately, the global conscience remains silent. They further noted that the violation of human rights in occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a challenge for the international community, and if silence continues, history will not forgive. The Kashmiri people have written history with their blood, and their eternal sacrifices stand as a testament to their readiness to sacrifice everything for their right.

The speakers emphasized that the youth of Pakistan are the true ambassadors of the Kashmir issue, and it is our moral, social, and national responsibility to raise our voices for the rights of the Kashmiri people on every front. They called on the international community to take notice of India’s illegal actions and play their role in ensuring that the Kashmiri people receive their rightful due.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League also organized a Kashmir Solidarity rally in Nowsheri, Neelum, near the Line of Control, which was led by the party’s coordinator, Muhammad Iqbal Khan.

Furthermore, a seminar was held at the Lahore Judicial Complex, organized by the Lahore Bar Association, Kashmir Centre Lahore, and Kashmir Liberation Cell. The speakers at the seminar emphasized that the freedom of Kashmir remains an incomplete agenda for Pakistan’s fulfillment. The speakers reiterated their firm commitment that the freedom of Kashmir is essential for the true completion of Pakistan, and they vowed to continue their efforts towards achieving this goal.

The seminar was attended by numerous legal experts and activists, included addresses from several prominent figures, including the President of Lahore Bar Association, Mubashir Rehman Chaudhry, Incharge of Kashmir Centre Lahore, Inam ul Hassan Kashmiri, Advocate Manzoor Hussain Gilani, Hurriyat leader Engineer Mushtaq Mahmood, Secretary of the Lahore Bar, Naseer Ahmad Bhalla, and others.
