Weather outlook of Lahore, Punjab; smog continues to prevail

LAHORE–Smog will continue to prevail in Lahore and plains of Punjab on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, cold and dry weather will likely prevail in Lahore and most districts of Punjab on Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday.

Smog will likely persist in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas. Fog will likely prevail during morning/night hours.

Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 11-13°C on Thursday and 10-12°C on Friday.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where the minimum temperature was recorded at 05°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 37 per cent.

In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 12°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 88 per cent.
