The APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar paid homage to Basit Ahmad Dar and other two youths and said that the sacrifices of the martyrs were valuable asset of the freedom movement. He said that the best way to pay tributes to the martyrs was to resolutely continue their mission until the goal of freedom was achieved.

Strongly condemning the use of chemical substance by the Indian troops, he said that this was a clear example of the ongoing terrorism by the occupation troops in the territory.

He said that the Hindutva Indian regime led by the BJP has intensified its repression against the freedom-loving Kashmiris, making them aliens in their own homeland. “The Kashmiris’ houses, land and other properties are being confiscated on one pretext or other on daily basis in IIOJK to punish them for supporting the freedom struggle”.

Advocate Minhas expressed concern over the plight of illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in jails of IIOJK and India. He said that these Kashmiri detainees were being deprived of all basic facilities including the medical care.

The APHC spokesperson urged the United Nations to take notice of the ongoing war crimes being committed by India in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and put pressure on New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir dispute in line with the Security Council resolutions.
