PM AJK announces One-Window Operation to facilitate investors

Muzaffarabad: The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Iftikhar Gilani, has said that the government would provide a secure and investor-friendly environment to promote industrial development and investment in the liberated territory.

Addressing a meeting of the Industries and Mineral Resources Department, the prime minister said that industrial growth was essential to generate economic activity, strengthening the local economy and creating new employment opportunities.

He said that a one-window operation would be introduced to simplify registration procedures and facilitate investors.

Prime Minister Gilani, on the occasion, directed the Mineral Resources Department to simplify procedures for granting large and small mining leases and ease the registration of industrial plots and other related formalities.

He said that investors’ problems would be addressed on a priority basis, while the proposed one-window operation would provide essential services at a single point.

The prime minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding the industrial sector through investment-friendly policies and directed the department to focus on tapping the potential of Azad Kashmir’s mineral resources.

The meeting was briefed on the affairs of the Industries, Commerce, and Mineral Resources Department.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Industries, Commerce, Mineral Resources, and Tourism Chaudhry Abdul Rehman; Principal Secretary and Secretary of Industries Sardar Adnan Khurshid; Deputy Secretary Raja Zaheer Mukhtar; and other relevant officials.
