FM Amir Muqam meets JI AJK–GB delegation, vows efforts for Kashmir resolution

Islamabad:  Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam met a delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan led by Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan.

The delegation included Jamaat-e-Islami Central Deputy Chief Noor-ul-Bari, Secretary General Raja Jahangir Khan, and Secretary Information Raja Zakir Khan.

During the meeting, Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan discussed the current situation in Azad Kashmir and ways to address the ongoing challenges. He said that as Minister for Kashmir Affairs, it is Amir Muqam’s responsibility to play his role in resolving the issue and to raise the matter with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi for an early solution.

He emphasized that the people of Kashmir are strongly attached to the ideology of Pakistan and this bond must not be weakened. He added that all stakeholders have a shared responsibility to contribute towards resolving the situation.

On the occasion, Amir Muqam appreciated the efforts of Jamaat-e-Islami and said he would also discuss the matter with the senior leadership and play his due role. He noted that the proposals of Jamaat-e-Islami are valuable and would be considered with respect.
