PM AJK announces ownership rights for LoC victims in Jinyal
Mirpur:The Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, on Sunday, announced ownership rights for the LoC (Line of Control) victims settled in Jinyal, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the affected families. Addressing a ceremony held in this regard, prime minister Rathore paid tribute to the resilience of the residents, who were forced to leave their homes due to India’s unprovoked shelling and resettle in the area.“From today, you are the rightful owners of the land where you have been temporarily living”, he said. Congratulating the affected families, the PM said that a formal notification had been issued in this regard. Paying tribute to the sacrifices of LoC-affected families, he said the people of Jinyal have endured immense hardships, and the move to grant ownership rights is aimed at delivering long-overdue justice. He said the present government was carrying forward the legacy of former Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, who granted ownership rights to refugees settled in Khaliqabad and surrounding areas during his tenure.?The Prime Minister also announced the establishment of a dispensary in Jinyal to improve local healthcare facilities. Highlighting the government’s priorities, PM Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that all available resources were being utilized to ensure effective public service. He said the government was committed to addressing people’s problems on a priority basis and strengthening trust between the state and citizens.
He reiterated that the government’s political vision is centered on public welfare and provision of basic facilities. Referring to the political legacy of Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, he said the deceased leader has consistently raised the Kashmir issue at the international level and served his people with dedication and integrity. The Prime Minister reiterated that the Pakistan Peoples Party would continue its mission of serving the people. He expressed the confidence that the PPP would emerge successful in the 2026 elections. He said the party has always prioritized welfare projects, focusing on providing basic necessities and improving living standards. Earlier, the Prime Minister received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Jinyal, where a large number of people gathered to attend the ceremony. Government Ministers including Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, Chaudhry Akhlaq, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, and others, were also present on the occasion.
