Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani is undergoing treatment at a local hospital in London

London () Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani, President of Jammu Kashmir Council for Human Rights, an international human rights organization based in London, has been admitted to a local hospital in London due to chest pain.

According to family sources, Dr. Gilani has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in London since October 17 last month. Doctors have advised him complete rest. Regarding the treatment, several tests were taken by Dr. Gilani, which are satisfactory, but the doctors have not yet discharged him from the hospital.

Family sources of Dr. Gilani say that in the light of the doctors’ instructions, he will be kept under treatment in the hospital for some more time.

Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani, besides playing an important role in highlighting the jurisprudence of the Kashmir issue at the global level, has introduced the term UN template for the first time in the interpretation of the Kashmir issue.

Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani represented the underrepresented nations at the World Conference on Human Rights organized by the United Nations in Vienna in June 1993 and addressed the Plenary and Main Committee on behalf of the underrepresented people.

The United Nations has recognized their work on Kashmir since 10 January 1990. Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights Council documents are released by the Secretary-General of the United Nations as documents of the UN General Assembly during the sessions of the Human Rights Council.

The Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights has special consultative status in the United Nations.

Family sources have said that Dr. Nazir Gilani has extended his greetings to all his friends, colleagues and loved ones and has also requested prayers.
